#chancetherapper has become known for turning the end of his concerts into church-like revival experiences during performances of “Blessings.”

In fact, a 2017 REVOLT article described his Essence Fest set by saying, “It was like an altar call, honestly,” recalling one woman in the front row on her knees, palms raised and head bowed.

Chance has always been open about his faith and has consistently woven it into his music, even if his overall branding has never been overtly faith-based.

But after a recent performance where he even brought out Kirk Franklin, people are asking: could Chance the Rapper be the revival the Christian hip-hop industry needs?
