another piece of mac miller lore that needs to be talked about more 🗣️

mac miller and steve lacy have crossed paths countless times as musicians, but the most notable of the lot has to be when lacy and dj dahi co-produced his song jet fuel off of swimming

and while that was an unplanned collaboration because the beat was originally made for kendrick lamar, their unreleased song stones could not have been more intentional

it's hard to find the exact timeline of when they made the song together, but many reports say stones was made during the swimming era — and what a bonus track or general addition it would have been

stones might just be one of my favorite unreleased mac songs aside from pure, but what are your thoughts? do you already bump this song? did you just learn about it? let me know all of your thoughts below 🫂⬇️
