Baker Mayfield had to pay the price after Oklahoma’s loss to Michigan😭

The Buccaneers QB walked into his press conference wearing a Michigan tank top while head coach Todd Bowles sang “The Victors,” the Wolverines’ fight song. The reason behind it makes it even better: Bowles’ son, Troy Bowles, is a linebacker at Michigan, while Mayfield starred at Oklahoma and won the Heisman Trophy with the Sooners in 2017.

Michigan earned the bragging rights after taking down Oklahoma 17-10 in Ann Arbor on Saturday. The Wolverines held the Sooners to just 10 points in the ranked matchup, giving Bowles the perfect opportunity to make sure Mayfield didn’t forget about the result. Michigan improved to 2-0 with the win, while Oklahoma dropped to 1-1.

Mayfield may be more than a decade removed from playing college football, but rivalries and alma mater pride clearly don’t disappear once you reach the NFL. Bowles made sure his quarterback honored the bet in front of the cameras, and Mayfield took it like a good sport.
