We made HUGE memories at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park! 🤩

🐘 Our adventure started at the brand-new Elephant Valley, an immersive experience where you can walk alongside a herd of nine African elephants and learn how these gentle giants help shape ecosystems across the savanna. From larger-than-life footprints to stories about elephant family dynamics, every detail is designed to inspire a deeper connection to wildlife. The matriarchal herd recently welcomed Sdudla, a 10,000 pound male African savanna elephant to bring mentorship and future social development.

🍽️ We dined at Mkutano House, a beautiful two-story dining destination in the heart of Elephant Valley, which is Swahili for “gathering with purpose.” It offers incredible views of the elephants and surrounding landscapes, plus you can’t beat the flavors and handcrafted details, with ties to African and Asian cultures.

🚐 You can’t leave the park without seeing the savanna, whether you walk, take the Africa Tram or a VIP safari through the park’s 1,800 acres, keep an eye out for rhinos, lions, gorillas, giraffes, and even an okapi along the way!

Every visit to the Safari Park is filled with adventure, discovery, and moments that bring you closer to wildlife conservation. 🌍✨
