SEC Co-Offensive Players of the Week – Georgia midfielder Honoka Hamano and South Carolina midfielder Reese Slater were named Co-Offensive Players of the Week. Hamano, a senior from Tokyo, Japan, helped lead the Bulldogs to a 1-1 tie against No. 2 Vanderbilt in their SEC opener. Hamano netted her fourth goal of the season with a blistering strike from beyond the 18-yard-box. With the draw,

Georgia earned its second-ever result against a top-two opponent in program history. Slater, a senior from Charlotte, N.C., helped the Gamecocks kick off SEC play with a win, scoring the game-winner over the No. 23-ranked Gators for the second top-25 win of the season. The goal marked the first game-winner of the season for Reese and the second of her career.

SEC Defensive Player of the Week – Alabama goalkeeper Madi Munguia, a junior from Puyallup, Wash., helped secure a road shutout over in-state rival Auburn, bringing the Iron Bowl trophy for the seventh straight season. The shutout was her fifth this season, which already surpasses her previous career total prior to this year. She matched her season high with five saves, two of which came in the final 7 minutes of the game to help secure the shutout and the win.

SEC Freshman of the Week – Mississippi State forward Kati Anne Shepherd, a freshman from Birmingham, Ala., scored the game-winning goal at Ole Miss in her first Magnolia Cup action. State won its seventh consecutive win in the series, the longest streak by either side in the rivalry’s history. Shepherd leads the team with two game-winning goals.
