Teach the Gortat Screen

2v2 Small-Sided Game and Game Examples

Basketball Immersion coaching expert Gerard Hillier provides an effective 2-on-2 small-sided game to work on applying Gortat Screens.

The Gortat Screen is one of basketball’s most effective off-ball actions for creating open driving lanes and easy finishes at the rim. Yet many coaches don’t teach it intentionally.

In this video, you’ll learn:

• What a Gortat Screen is
 • Why it is so effective against help defense
 • Real game examples and film breakdowns
 • A simple 2v2 small-sided game to help players learn the concept through competition

The Gortat Screen teaches players how to seal help defenders, create advantages without a traditional ball screen, and finish around the basket.
