#TSRUpdatez: #NicolePolizzi, better known as #Snooki, says she currently has no evidence of disease, seven months after being diagnosed with stage 1 cervical cancer.

The 38-year-old ‘Jersey Shore’ star told People that she underwent a hysterectomy on July 31 and is now recovering after a successful surgery.

“As of right now, I am cancer-free,” Polizzi told People. “They got everything out. So I’m definitely happy that I did it.”

Polizzi said her diagnosis came after she put off getting a Pap smear for an extended period. What followed was months of procedures that ultimately led to her hysterectomy.

While she’s beginning to feel like herself again, Polizzi said she’s still recovering and learning not to push her body too hard.
