#TSRUpdatez: On Tuesday, prosecutors announced that they would not pursue the death penalty for #NickReiner, who was accused of killing his father, actor and director #RobReiner, and his mother, #MicheleSingerReiner, last December.

According to apnews, certain circumstances, which included multiple killings and the use of a dangerous weapon, made Nick eligible for the death penalty.

Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman said officials did a thorough review, including speaking with Rob and Michele’s families and evaluating factors in Nick’s favor, before a decision was reached. The maximum sentence Nick will be eligible to get if convicted will be life without the possibility of parole.
