JBL says he has no idea when WrestleMania 43 is, and he works for WWE.

On Something to Wrestle, Conrad Thompson pressed JBL on WWE announcing Riyadh as the site of WrestleMania 43, and Nick Khan telling the Varsity Club podcast the creative is done, with still no date. JBL: "I don't know the date. I just told you that. I don't have any idea the date." Asked to check WWE's talent relations app: "I don't even have a talent relations app on my phone. I refuse to download it, even if they offered it."

On why WWE would keep the date quiet: "To give any heads up to somebody that might run competition against you." Thompson's read was that a sold show has no pressure to sell tickets, so there's no reason to give anyone runway to counter-program. JBL agreed. On how many American fans will make the trip: "I'll take the under on 10 people."

Also on the show:

Bret Hart calling WWE producers "idiots": "Idiots is too strong." He called Bruce Prichard "one of the greatest producers in the history of television" and noted "Joe Montana wasn't a coach. Terry Bradshaw wasn't a coach."

Mark Shapiro's comments on resizing WWE talent pay: "If you want to make more money, draw it." He made $76,000 in 1996 working every PPV and house show, but said "it's not fair" to compare eras.

Raw's editing on Netflix: "The downside risk is huge." One sponsor calling the product too edgy costs more than five extra seconds of blood is worth.

TKO's Disney plans: Vince McMahon "made a mistake" not turning the Times Square restaurant into a Hall of Fame; a WWE exhibit inside a Disney park could be "huge."

Survivor Series 1996 was supposed to be his big push until referee Tim White, listening to his earpiece, counted him out by mistake. "He looked at me, goes, 'I'm sorry, kid.'"

He asked WWE if he could volunteer at Ground Zero after 9/11. Vince's reply: "If you go, our whole company's going with you."
