In the fall of ’98, Pikes and friends were in the middle of Century Club when the night was interrupted by a shutdown. But honestly, that happened at nearly every Century Club.

For those who don’t know, Century Club involved 100 shots of beer in 100 minutes. A pledge would bang loudly on a pot every minute to keep the pre-party on pace.

When the dean showed up, the pledges sprang into action, hiding booze with military precision. Moments later, we were back at it.

On October 14, 2023, this became Hoosier History’s first viral reel, reaching 1.2 million views and 52.4K likes.
