Bowling For Soup, Louder Than Life 2026

LIVE REVIEW: “Aren’t we just the fucking best?” Jaret Reddick bellows, grinning from ear to ear as he looks out at the thousands who have made it to the Decibel Stage to spend 45 minutes with Texas’ favourite sons. The thing is, though, when they put on a show as quick-witted, joyous, and outrageously fun as this, you would be hard-pressed to disagree. Using their just over 30 years in the game to a devastating advantage, and with every perfectly timed joke, knowing glance, and infectious chorus they deal out, it is utterly irresistible from beginning to end.
From the photo opportunity set to the tune of ‘YMCA’ sandwich between the choruses of a riotous ‘Punk Rock 101’, to the ‘Today Is Gonna Be A Great Day’ theme hitting peak nostalgia for so many who didn’t realise they still knew all the words to the Phineas and Ferb theme, surprises are around every corner. Then, with the pop-punk perfection of ‘Almost’, the home-state pride of ‘Ohio (Come Back To Texas)’ and the timelessness of ‘1985’ just there, ready and waiting in their back pocket, it is entertainment at its most unbridled and euphoric.
As long as we have Bowling For Soup, this world is a whole lot brighter. And here’s hoping they remain that sensational staple they are for many more moons to come.
