The 2021 to 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E Premium Extended Range is powered by an extended-range battery pack (88 kWh usable in 2021, upgraded to 91 kWh usable for 2022–2023) offered in Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) or dual-motor eAWD. The RWD version produces 290 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque with an EPA-estimated range of 300 to 310 miles. The eAWD configuration puts out 346 hp and 428 lb-ft of torque, delivering a 0 to 60 mph time of 4.8 seconds and an EPA-estimated range of 270 to 290 miles. DC fast charging peaks at 150 kW, replenishing 10 to 80% in approximately 45 minutes.

This mid-tier trim adds 19-inch aluminum wheels, a panoramic fixed-glass roof, a hands-free power liftgate, ActiveX seating, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel alongside a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system. Software is centered around a 15.5-inch vertical touchscreen with a built-in EV route planner and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Safety amenities include BlueCruise hands-free highway driving (available via software upgrade on 2021 prep models), a 360-degree camera system, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and lane centering, and pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking.
