I used Sam’s bake off-winning thumbprint dough and added 1 tsp of matcha to half the dough before rolling out the dough balls! The matcha flavor is pretty subtle and more for coloring; if you want more matcha flavor, I’d double this to 2 tsp.

For this recipe, you’ll need:

16 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup light brown sugar
1 large egg yolk
3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 ¼ cup all purpose flour
2 teaspooons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup sugar, for rolling
1/3 cup your choice jam

Plus 1-2 teaspoons matcha!
