The city of Portland plans to name Sept. 25 “Dolly Parton Day” in honor of the music icon who died in August.

Why that day? As the city wrote in a press release: “September 25 is 9/25, making it the perfect day for Portland to honor the woman who gave the world ‘9 to 5.’”
