The City is a Garden.
Maybe a city begins exactly like this: with a line that does not exist yet, a colour slightly out of place, someone imagining that things could come together differently.

Today, looking at Peter Cook’s drawings, I was reminded of something I strongly believe: drawing a city does not mean representing it. It means cultivating it.

And sometimes, seeing how others cultivate theirs makes you want to start drawing all over again.

The City is a Garden.
