Half the "blown apex seals" RX-8s on Marketplace are healthy cars owned by someone who never learned the ritual. Rotary people know. That's why they keep quietly buying them for Civic money while everyone else repeats a forum post from 2009.

Save this before you scroll past the next cheap one:

1. Four plugs, not two. Every chamber gets a leading and a trailing, and they do different jobs. One weak trailing plug feels exactly like a dying motor to someone who's only ever owned pistons.

2. Spark ENERGY is the spec, not spark presence. Coils on these are a consumable. They'll still fire on a tester and still be too soft to light a chamber that's moving away from the flame. Test them under load or just replace them.

3. The rear plugs are a 20-minute job that becomes four hours, one busted knuckle, and a trip to buy the swivel extension you swore you already owned. Budget the whole afternoon and stop lying to yourself.
