The S2000 charges rent on the rear fender and everybody keeps paying it in the front. You spec a beautiful 9 up front, love how it sits, then order the rear to "match" and discover the AP chassis doesn't care about your width number at all — it cares about how far the lip pokes past the arch and how much the tire squats under load. Factory is 16x6.5 +55 / 16x7.5 +65 on AP1 and 17x7 +55 / 17x8.5 +65 on AP2 for a reason: Honda gave the rear more offset because the rear needs it.

So the honest fitment recipe is 17x9 around +35 up front with a 235 or 245, and a 17x10 out back in the +38 to +42 range on a 255/265, and then you pick your poison — roll the fenders, add negative camber, or lift the ride height back up a finger. Pick two and the car looks intentional. Pick all three and it looks like you gave up. Mock the wheel up on the hub with the suspension loaded before you commit, because a wheel that clears on jackstands is a wheel that eats paint on the first freeway on-ramp.

Here's the real fight: do you roll the rear arches and run the lip you actually want, or do you keep the fenders factory and dial the setup back a half inch? Untouched paint or the stance — which one are you not giving up?
