Thank you to everyone for the messages, calls, and support. It means more to me than I can put into words. I didn’t want to talk about this right away because I never want to take anything away from my opponent or make excuses. But after hearing from so many of you, I feel my fans deserve to know what happened.

I injured myself in the second round, and although I kept going, I wasn’t able to move the way I wanted after that. I’m disappointed in myself because I know I’m capable of more, and I’m so sorry I couldn’t give everyone the performance and result we all wanted.

I’ve gone straight into recovery with the help of the ufcpi and my zuffaboxing family, doing everything I can to get back to full strength.

To everyone who flew in, bought tickets or merchandise, supported me from home, my team and especially those who have stood by me from the beginning, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I’m focused on recovering and getting healthy in time for what’s next. I’m grateful for every one of you, and I will be back soon. #MMM #MarkMagsayo #zuffaboxing
