## Caption

A 'high alert' for bird migration over the Chicago area remains in effect through Sunday night as millions of birds migrated over Illinois each night for the past several days.

In all, more than 825 million birds were expected to move across the U.S. during the migration, with cool weather and dry conditions expected to encourage those birds to make their southward travels during overnight hours.
