A judge has set a $1 million cash only bond for a California man arrested in Phoenix on Monday.

Errick Jamell Cooks, 43, was taken into custody on September 14. He is charged with attempted first degree murder, attempted sexual assault, armed robbery and burglary.

Court records say Cooks and the woman were acquainted and had met roughly four months earlier.

Officers took him into custody using non-lethal munitions. Police say they recovered a firearm, a stolen necklace and suspected narcotics.

He is being held in Maricopa County jail. The bond is cash only, which means no bail bondsman and no percentage. The full amount or nothing.

A million dollars on a four count felony arrest tells you how the court is looking at this without anybody needing to describe what happened.

These are charges. Nothing has been proven and he has not been convicted.

We are not publishing the block, the details of the allegations, or anything about the woman involved. There is an attempted sexual assault count in this case and she is still living her life in this city.

All of the above comes from the Phoenix Police Department and Maricopa County Superior Court records, as reported by Fox 10.
