Maricopa County Animal Care & Control is waiving all dog adoption fees this Saturday, September 19, giving Valley residents a chance to bring home a dog without paying an adoption fee.

The one-day event runs from 11AM to 7PM at all three MCACC adoption locations in Phoenix, Mesa and Scottsdale.

Dogs adopted through the county are already spayed or neutered, microchipped and given age-appropriate vaccinations before heading to their new home.

The event comes as county shelters continue working to find homes for the large number of dogs entering their care each month, so officials are hoping the fee waiver helps more dogs leave the shelter with permanent families.

Participating locations:
📍 2500 S. 27th Ave, Phoenix
📍 1920 S. Lewis, Mesa
📍 4380 N. Miller Rd, Scottsdale

If you’ve been thinking about adopting a dog, Saturday is a good chance to visit one of the shelters and see who’s available.
