Yurms’ new sound might catch some long time listeners by surprise 🔥👀

Back in 2020, Yurms was already working alongside names like ericdoa, David Shawty, Yungster Jack and Shinigami on ‘I Wish I Had School Tomorrow’, putting him right in the middle of that early internet rap/digicore wave📍

Six years later, his music sounds almost completely removed from those beginnings. Yurms has leaned further into alternative songwriting, live-feeling textures and darker, grittier production, with his 2026 album ‘Highwater’ pushing that evolution across 14 tracks.

He’s even started drawing comparisons to Dominic Fike, but the rougher edges of Yurms’ production give the sound an identity of its own 🤝

After years of experimenting, is this the most interesting version of Yurms yet 🤔
