Foster fail? More like a foster success. ✅ #FosterFriday
Meet tiny little Merton. She was found behind a Rosauers less than a few weeks old this past June. Luckily, the person who found Merton was friends with one of our beloved foster parents.

This particular foster parent had been fostering cats for Spokane Humane Society for many years, and she acted fast to give Merton the round the clock care she needed.

This courageous kitten truly persevered through a lot, including a traumatic injury that caused her difficulty using her hind legs. Merton could not have been in better hands. Her foster mom is incredibly kind, caring, and supportive.

With great joy we can share that Merton's fracture has healed and she is a happy, healthy kitten. 🧡

After everything they've been through together, Merton's foster mom decided to adopt! Merton has been happy in home (well, the same home we should say!) since the beginning of this week. 🐾

When a foster adopts their foster animal, we call this a "foster failure". In this case though, there's no doubt that this is a happy ending for both Merton and her new forever family. 🎉 Congratulations and thank you for being such an amazing foster!
