Vic Janowicz became ohiostatefb's second Heisman Trophy winner, earning the award as one of the most versatile players in college football. A true multi-threat, he starred as a runner, passer, defender, and kicker, impacting the game in every phase.

After contributing on defense during Ohio State’s Rose Bowl win in 1949, Janowicz delivered a standout 1950 season, playing nearly the entire game each week. He totaled 561 passing yards, 314 rushing yards, and 17 touchdowns, including a remarkable performance against Iowa where he accounted for 46 points.

Janowicz’s all-around excellence earned him the Heisman Trophy in a runaway vote. He was later inducted into the cfbhall in 1976.
