(Part 1 / 4) Ms. Wezi Msowoya, aged 41, is a teacher in Malawi at Chilanga Secondary School, where The Sonder Project sponsors students. 

She has only been teaching for 5 years, but observing her mastery in front of a classroom, one can hardly believe it! 

In 2017, as a mother of four children, Ms. Wezi decided to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a teacher. 

She tells us that she was originally inspired by one of her own favorite teachers in secondary school. 

“She was not just a teacher, she was also a good counselor, and when she shared her experiences, we were able to relate to them and be inspired.” 

Wezi decided that she wanted to make the same kind of impact on students in Malawi, helping to motivate them and meet their life goals.
