Black families bear the brunt of a broken tax system – 8 in 10 say that it needs major change or a complete rebuild. But the message cannot end there, and that’s why we took it all the way to Washington, D.C. for the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s 55th Annual Legislative Conference.

There, we met with Black political leaders to center the financial experiences and frustrations of Black Americans and discuss how to change the system and make generational wealth attainable for Black families together.

Thank you to our partners Mike Mitchell from the State Fiscal Policy team at the centeronbudget, Senior Analyst Brakeyshia Samms at the _itep and our community members Ursula Ware and Angela Surratt for joining us.
