When Sylvester was in his 20s, he left his hometown of Louisiana for a gig in LA assisting a relatively known woman by the name of Kyle Richards, who, as it turns out, was on the precipice of #RHOBH stardom. You couldn’t script a better start to the E! True Hollywood Story of his life.

In the 17 years since, he's become one of the major faces of the E! network, interviewing the likes of Julia Roberts and Harrison Ford at the #Emmys, Golden Globes, Oscars, and anywhere else that requires making small talk with celebrities before a big show. “A lot of times, you ask one question off a card and a conversation will take you in 1,000 different places,” he says of the art of red carpet hosting. “You’re connecting this person to a million people. I think about my friends at home. What’s the things that they’re going to want to talk about?”
