URGENT: Big Oil is pushing our planet to the limit — and leaving widespread destruction in its wake.

Oil and gas production is a leader driver of climate change. It fuels superstorms, megafires, and droughts that harm people, degrade habitat and push wildlife from polar bears to butterflies towards extinction. 

Big Oil needs to be held accountable for the devastation it wreaks for profit.

But two new bills in Congress could give the industry full legal immunity, leaving the public to deal with the fallout and shoulder the costs.

H.R. 8330 and S.4340, would prevent communities from holding fossil fuel companies liable in court for climate damages. They'd also void existing laws in states like Vermont and New York that make polluters pay. 

These bills are scheduled to be voted on by the House Judiciary committee TOMORROW. If passed, they'll then go to the House for consideration. 

We cannot let fossil fuel polluters tarnish our planet and then make us pay for the damage. They must be held responsible for their actions.
