FAMU researcher Albert Nguessan Ngo, Ph.D., has earned national recognition for research that could help reshape prostate cancer treatment.

The assistant professor of pharmaceutics received the 2026 Sidney A. McNairy Jr. Early-Stage Investigator Award for Inclusive Excellence for his work developing a targeted, multilayer nanomedicine designed to deliver treatment more precisely and reduce effects on cells outside the treatment target.

Presented by the RCMI Consortium, the award recognizes promising early-stage investigators advancing biomedical research and improved health outcomes.
