When I stopped playing, I wasn’t sure who I’d be. My whole life I’d known myself as a hockey player, and then one day, it came to an abrupt end.

I struggled those first few months away. I’ve had plenty of days where I’ve missed playing. However, I realized that hockey never has to fully leave your life if you don’t want it to.

Coaching, making hockey content, playing beer league, going to international tournaments and events - everything has fed my soul far beyond what I could have imagined.

And who knows.. Maybe I’ll make a comeback one of these days? 💁🏻‍♀️ #hockey #hockeyplayer #mentalhealth #suicidepreventionmonth
