The Bruins have been talking extension with one of two top-six forwards who became eligible to do so on July 1 👀

Pavel Zacha, is entering the final year of his four year deal signed back in 2023. He scored 30 goals for 65 points in 78 games last season. GM Don Sweeney said that it's been good communication between both sides but despite the yearn to bring Zacha back, there has been no landing spot. 

Casey Mittelstadt, in comparison, had not been reached out to by the Bruins over the summer. He finished 2025-26 with 42 points and alongside Zacha, helped dominate as one of the best offensive lines in the NHL. Nonetheless, the forward isn’t letting that waver him from focusing on this current season.
