Charlie McAvoy really likes Frederic Brunet 👀

Why? Well, in speaking to reporters, McAvoy was asked about his partner, who’s been skating with him at 2026 Training Camp for the past two days, and what he reminds him of; 

"I mean, I guess a, a lefty with some skill, so maybe in a way, maybe it could be Grizzy (Matt Grzelcyk). I think he's a little bit taller than Grizzy, but he can move well and from what I've seen these first couple days, he is good with the puck. Brunet, a former 5th-round-pick from 2022 out of the QMJHL is making his first big push for the NHL roster this season. The 22-year-old had very similar production last year, comparing to Matt Grzelcyk’s best season in the AHL ➡️

Thoughts? Will Brunet make a push for the big club? If Brunet doesn’t make the NHL roster, being sent down will risk him being open for another team to acquire his services 😳
