Matt Poitras has something to prove at 2026-27 training camp 🏕️

The forward himself said he’s confident that he can be an everyday NHL player, but that he has to prove it in camp and be relied on every night. 

“Every year is a big year, but yeah, I mean, I really want to work hard here in camp and earn an opportunity to play here and kind of prove that I’m confident in myself that I’m an everyday NHL player but just prove to everybody that I can be in the lineup every night and be relied on.” — h/t Jack Studley, Boston Hockey Now

The 22 year-old, who has 7 goals for 27 points in 69 career NHL games, signed a one-year, two-way contract and is fighting for a big league role for the 2026-27 season, contrary to his past two years under the organization, which saw much more time in the AHL with the Providence Bruins 😳
