Entitlement can make someone believe they are owed what another person has simply because they want it.

Instead of putting in the time, effort, sacrifice, and discomfort required to build something for themselves, they may feel justified in taking what someone else worked to create. 

There is power in creating your own path. What you build through your own effort carries a value that cannot be found in taking from someone else.
