## Caption

It might seem odd to be capturing the finer details when standing at the base of an impressive high-alpine lake and jagged mountains. But capturing the wide-angle scene with a boring blue sky just doesn’t result in an image that is interesting to look at. Instead, when the skies are blue, turn to your telephoto lens to capture the finer details of the scene. In this example, I capture the ripples of the waves, which might seem simple, but when you focus in on these smaller scenes, it can result in very interesting textures and images that are more unique.
