Trump called Jensen Huang while he was on stage at the All-In Summit — and they put him on speakerphone. 📞🤯

Imagine you're standing on stage in front of thousands of people, discussing the future of artificial intelligence… and suddenly the President of the United States calls your phone.

That’s exactly what happened to Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang at the All-In Summit in Los Angeles.

Huang was in the middle of an interview when his phone rang. The caller? Donald Trump. Instead of stepping away to take the call privately, Huang put Trump on speaker so the audience could hear the conversation. The call lasted around five minutes and quickly turned into one of the most unexpected moments of the summit.

And the timing was especially interesting.

The tech industry is currently having a huge debate over how quickly AI should develop and how much safety oversight it needs. Some AI leaders have been calling for stronger safeguards and a more cautious approach, while Huang has argued that AI development should continue while being done responsibly.

Trump used the surprise call to push back strongly against fears that AI could eventually become an existential threat. He said the idea of robots taking over was a “hoax” and argued that America shouldn't slow down its AI development, particularly as it competes with China.

Huang also emphasized that America can lead in AI while doing it safely, showing just how important the balance between innovation and safety has become.

But beyond the AI debate, the moment itself was wild.

A phone call between the U.S. president and the CEO of the company at the center of the AI hardware boom… happening live on stage, in front of thousands of people. 😭

And Trump even joked about Huang being able to design incredibly complex computer chips but struggling to figure out how to put a phone call on speaker.

Silicon Valley really has no shortage of plot twists.
