Establishing an official Georgia resolution to honor 27 incredible journalists during the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) convention is a moment I will never forget.

There is something entirely unmatched about the energy of being in a room filled with brilliant storytellers, truth-seekers, and culture-shapers. This gathering wasn’t just a convention—it was a deeply reenergizing reminder of why our work matters, the power of our collective voice, and the legacy we carry forward every single day.

To see these 27 phenomenal journalists formally recognized by the state of Georgia for their impact, dedication, and unflinching commitment to the truth was a masterclass in resilience and community. We are writing our own history, holding the line, and pushing media forward.
Here’s to the power of Black journalism, continuing to uplift our own, and the unyielding revolution of truth! ✊🏾📰
