Even his OWN House Band PULLED OUT‼️😳

The controversy began after Macklemore opened for Sheeran at MetLife Stadium and told the crowd that a major reason he joined the tour was to stand inside stadiums and say “Free Palestine.”

He also performed Hind’s Hall, his pro-Palestinian protest song named after Hind Rajab, the Palestinian child killed in Gaza.

Macklemore was later removed from his remaining dates after multiple venues reportedly refused to host concerts with him on the lineup.

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, whose Kraft Group owns Gillette Stadium, confirmed Macklemore would not be welcomed there, citing his recent performance and what Kraft described as a broader history of rhetoric and imagery that had been hurtful to the Jewish community.

Macklemore claimed Sheeran told him Kraft had also appealed to other stadium owners, allegedly creating a situation where venues would refuse Sheeran’s concerts if Macklemore remained.

Tour promoter Messina Touring Group confirmed multiple venues would not proceed with Macklemore on the lineup.

Now the fallout has grown. Aaron Rowe, Lukas Graham, Finneas and Sheeran’s longtime collaborators Beoga have announced their withdrawals, expressing support for Palestine or opposition to artists being silenced.

Rowe said he couldn’t stand by while billionaires used their power to silence voices speaking about Palestinian suffering, while Finneas wrote, “Artists must not be silenced when they speak up for the oppressed.”

Sheeran says he was “not complicit” in Macklemore’s removal and maintains it was the promoter’s decision, not his. He said Macklemore’s contract was with the promoter and that he had spent days speaking with venues and others trying to find a solution.

Sheeran also described the suffering caused by the Israel-Gaza conflict as a human tragedy while maintaining his usual position of not publicly taking political sides.

Thoughts on this⁉️🤔⤵️
