With all the conversations lately about my prosthetic legs and how they differ from Ezra’s, I thought this was a fun post to reshare especially since yesterday was National Dance Day! 💃🏼🦿

Dancing on two prosthetic legs required a lot of problem solving, including experimenting with different feet for different movements. This video really only scratches the surface of everything that went into figuring out how to dance without being able to feel my feet on the floor or move my ankles.

And one thing I didn’t have time to share: I realize having access to multiple prosthetic feet is not the norm for most amputees.

By the time I went on DWTS, I had been an amputee & competitive athlete for about 15 years. Between insurance, sports and feet I purchased myself, I had accumulated quite a collection and on the show we tried just about everything we could to figure out how to make these dances work.

There’s SO much we could talk about. Also, make sure to VOTE for him Tuesday, I have no doubt he can win this show!
