The Time-Based Art Festival has ended, but one of its most interactive offerings is still available for download. German theater group Rimini Protokoll’s smartphone app The Walks offers audio-guided walks that encourage users to “rediscover and interact with [their] environment.”

The app’s prompts—sometimes playful or observational, other times meditative or uncomfortable—create space to interact with one’s surroundings in new ways.
