In 1985 Suzuki sold the public a 500cc Grand Prix bike. 95 horsepower, 145 kilos, two crankshafts, and
not a single electronic rider aid.

They built 9,284 of them. America never got one — and three years later, Suzuki’s own GSX-R750 had buried it. The strangest part isn’t that they stopped making it. It’s why they were allowed to sell it at all.
