The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2026 has been revealed, celebrating some of the most exceptional stays around the globe.

Is it exactly the list I would have chosen? No…and we suspect everyone’s personal Top 50 would look a bit different. When it comes to hotels, “best” will always be subjective. The hotel we’d choose for one traveller, trip or occasion might be entirely different from the one we’d choose for another…and that’s part of what makes this industry so interesting.

No single list could ever capture every extraordinary hotel in the world, nor should it be treated as a definitive guide to where you should stay. But it can still be an opportunity to celebrate exceptional hotels and, most importantly, the people behind them.

We’re so happy to see many hotels we know and love recognised this year. These aren’t simply names on a list to us. We’ve met the teams behind them, stayed in the rooms, experienced the service and seen firsthand the thoughtful details that make each property so special.

Ultimately, the best hotel is the one that’s best for you. And knowing the difference is where a great travel advisor comes in.
