70 years after disappearing from India, the cheetah is back. 🐆🇮🇳

From being declared extinct in India in 1952 to returning to Indian soil in 2022, Project Cheetah is more than the story of bringing back a species — it’s a story of conservation, resilience and giving nature a second chance.

From Namibia to Kuno… from the first cub born in India to a growing population — every new birth represents hope for India’s grasslands. 🌿

The goal isn’t just to increase numbers. It’s to build a self-sustaining cheetah population and restore a healthier ecosystem for generations to come.

The cheetah is no longer a guest.
It lives here. 🇮🇳🐆
