Somers (somersfootball_) lands the top spot in the lohud Section 1 football rankings this week.

Scarsdale football made a move this week following a convincing win over John Jay-East Fishkill. Mamaroneck took a tumble after getting thumped by Arlington.

The rivals meet this week.

Arlington made a statement last week but the Admirals have to overcome their past before they crack the Section 1 top 10. We need to make sure that game wasn't a one-off. Suffern is up next for Arlington, then comes another test against Scarsdale.
