Best division in baseball in 2026? It’s the American League East, it isn’t particularly close, and it’s been this way for years now. That’s now four years in a row in which a different team has won the division. That kind of parity is not really found elsewhere in this sport, especially given the fact the division winner is consistently winning 93-94+ games (cough cough AL Central). 

For the Yankees, that’s now just three division titles in the last decade after winning five crowns in seven years from 2005 to 2012. Consistently in the mix and in the dance, but not getting one of those top seeds nearly as frequently.
