BREAKING: Georgia and Clemson have mutually agreed to cancel their future 4 game, home-and-home series scheduled through the 2029-2033 seasons, per the Athens Banner-Herald.

A document recently obtained by the Athens Banner-Herald through an open records request that was signed on March 12 by UGA athletic director Josh Brooks and Clemson athletic director Graham Neff stated that the schools have “mutually agreed to cancel” the games.

The 2029 and 2033 games would have been played in Clemson, while the 2030 and 2032 games would have been played in Athens.

The cancelation of this series does not come as much of a surprise to many, as other previously scheduled non-conference home-and-home series against different ACC opponents such as Louisville (2026-27) and NC State (2033-34) were also cancelled earlier this year.

In conclusion, these disappointing changes had to be made in order to align with the SEC’s new nine-game conference schedule.
