#HumansOfZipline 🤩 Abdul-Latif Abdul-Rahman is the Facilities Lead for our drone delivery centers in Ghana. Check out what he has to say about his favorite moment at Zipline:

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

🌟“My favorite moment was when we were doing land negotiation for GH-1. After we finally paid for the land in bulk through a mediary, it came to our attention that individual landowners we had indirectly purchased from were not entirely satisfied with our plans to build a distribution center on their land. In the spirit of customer obsession, we decided to go directly to the landowners to discuss their concerns. That was my proudest moment of knowing I made the right choice joining this company. Most of the time, companies come in, build a fence, and pay security to keep unhappy community members off the land. But Zipline was different.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This process actually helped our entry into Omenako. The land owners knew what we were trying to do as a company. They knew we would be partnering with them, not exploiting them. There was an elderly woman who had leased land there. She came to us and said if we kick her out, she has nowhere to live. Instead of just clearing her out, the team at Zipline said no - we aren’t here to kick people out forcefully. So we agreed to let the lady stay there regardless of if we had paid for the land or not. That was the human face of this, and I felt proud working with a company that really cares about the well-being of the people who live in our area and the community we serve”🌟 #flyzipline #ghana #flytosavealife
