Nigerian mobility startup Drive45 Mobility has closed a $3 million senior debt facility to scale its flexible vehicle subscription platform across Nigeria.
The debt financing was provided by TLG Capital, backed by a credit guarantee structured by Cascador in partnership with Morgan Stanley. Drive45 offers a rent-to-own vehicle model that bundles insurance, vehicle tracking, maintenance, and fleet management into manageable recurring payments for businesses and drivers.
Operating more than 170 active vehicles with a zero-default record across five years, the startup plans to use the capital to expand its fleet into major business hubs including Abuja, Port Harcourt, Kano, and Kaduna.
The transaction underscores how non-dilutive debt and structured credit guarantees are becoming vital instruments for asset-heavy African tech startups navigating tough macroeconomic conditions.
