It was a spirited first day of training camp for the #NewYorkRangers as Matt Rempe and Marc Del Gaizo got physical with one another.

Del Gaizo, 26, said after practice that, “It’s nothing personal. It’s training camp. Everyone’s trying to go out there and put their best foot forward.”

The defenseman, who has played in 55 career #NHL games, also mentioned that him and Rempe trained together over the summer and that Rempe “took me under his wing.”
