Superman has fought gods, tyrants, monsters—and Mongul, the ruler of Warworld.

This eight-foot, thousand-pound warlord runs an artificial planet built around gladiatorial combat. He has beaten Superman one-on-one, survived being punched into orbit by General Zod, overwhelmed the Teen Titans, and shrugged off Starfire’s attacks. His connection to Warworld even lets him command devastating weapons with a thought.

And then there is the strange Lantern matchup: the video highlights the claim that Hal Jordan’s ring had no effect on Mongul’s yellow skin, giving Mongul an easy win.

Is Mongul really Superman’s coolest villain—or does he belong in the conversation for one of DC’s most dangerous villains, period?

Source note: the supplied footage includes a CapCut logo on the final black frame.
